Touch typing through a magical adventure

A free course for children who can already read English, using a physical US QWERTY keyboard. It teaches keyboard skills, not English as a foreign language. There are no ads or paid lesson locks.

Start the first lesson

What the course covers

210 short lessons across ten worlds. Start with F and J, add neighbouring home-row keys, then upper and lower rows. Later worlds practise all letters, Shift, punctuation, numbers and short sentences. Ordinary lessons stop after a minute of active typing; games and guardians finish after the text is typed.

Prepare for the first lesson

  1. Choose English (US) in your computer's keyboard settings. The on-screen keyboard and punctuation use US QWERTY. UK, AZERTY and QWERTZ are not separate supported courses yet.
  2. Find the bumps on F and J. Place your index fingers there and follow the finger hints.
  3. Choose Student for short practice, or Adult for longer ordinary exercises. Each mode saves progress separately.
  4. Start a few short attempts and stop if your child feels tired. Accuracy matters more than speed.

What to observe

Can your child start without repeated adult help? Are they becoming more accurate on unfamiliar text? Do they return willingly? A completed map or a high score alone does not prove touch-typing skill. This English course has automated checks, but real child sessions and native-speaker review are still needed.

Progress and language

The RU/EN link changes both the interface and the course. It does not change your computer's keyboard language. Russian and English progress remain separate. Without an account, progress stays in this browser; an adult can sign in to sync both courses across devices. Clearing site data can remove guest progress.

Speed

Speed is displayed in CPM, characters per minute. It is not WPM. Stars favour accuracy; ordinary lessons do not require a fixed speed target.

Privacy and feedback

Our server receives limited practice events and short feedback, including a random browser identifier. This is described in the privacy policy. Yandex Metrica is disabled. The feedback button offers four answers without registration; an adult can email a detailed message. Do not include a child's personal details.
